Veneers can help radically transform your smile in just a few easy steps. Designed to address cosmetic issues with the teeth, veneers can produce a Hollywood-worthy smile in just two appointments, especially when you choose our bespoke, handmade composite veneers.
Veneers are applied directly to the natural tooth, covering it like a kind of cap. In this way, they can hide and cover up cosmetic issues such as cracks, chips, gaps, and discoloration, and in some cases can also address overlapping and small misalignment issues.
Veneers are most suited to patients looking to address cosmetic rather than clinical issues with their teeth and smile. In some cases, veneers can be used alongside other treatments to address wider issues too. We’ll be able to discuss suitability and find out which treatment is most appropriate for you and your smile ambitions with our team here during an initial consultation.
This depends on the type of veneer being used as the process of applying porcelain and composite veneers is quite different.
What is the difference between porcelain and composite veneers?
Porcelain veneers must be made in a lab off-site before being applied in the practice, and can require more of the natural tooth’s surface to be removed for application. Composite veneers can be made and applied right here at the practice all during the same appointment, and normally do not require any of the natural tooth to be shaved down.
Composite veneers can also offer a more cost-effective alternative to porcelain veneers and are much easier and cheaper to repair should they become chipped, cracked or damaged in some way.
