How do single tooth dental implants work?

Like other dental implants, single tooth dental implants are made up of a titanium screw or peg that is inserted into the jawbone, and a prosthetic tooth that is attached on top of it. The titanium screw acts as the new root for the tooth, keeping it in place and looking and acting just as a natural tooth does.

How long does the treatment take?

The treatment journey for a single tooth dental implant usually lasts for a few months, and you’ll come into the practice for several appointments. It is a fairly long process, and performing the treatment requires great skill, dexterity, and training on the part of the specialist dentist, but patients always agree that it’s worth it. Luckily, our team here at Diamond Dental Care includes highly skilled dentists who are able to perform these treatments in practice, meaning you’ll be comfortable and well taken care of by a team you trust throughout.

Is this treatment suitable for me?

Implants aren’t suitable for all patients – there must be enough healthy jawbone present to safely accept the implant – but we can establish this during a consultation. We’ll probably do this via an X-ray, or in some cases a CT scan. With our OPG machine, we’re able to perform X-rays of the entire mouth without the use of uncomfortable bitewings, meaning you’ll be comfortable from the first step in your implant journey with us.

Always very pleasant and helpful reception staff. And the premises are spotless but also comfortable tooMahbub is meticulous in his hygienist processes and always tells me what he finds as he works and how I should best improve my oral health.He is very careful too to make sure I am comfortable during all the processes especially where some of my teeth and gums are a little sensitive.

I contacted Diamond Dental because I was in a lot of pain with a tooth that needed extraction. I had spoken to my dentist of 35 years and they offered me an appointment in 3 weeks. The only reason I still had the troublesome tooth was because they had cancelled an emergency appointment a while back. The whole team at DD were professional and helpful from the first phone call. I was seen the same day and the dentist, Yanisha, was a true professional and also had a lovely friendly manner explaining everything and putting me at ease. Excellent service and a good price too. I strongly recommend !

I received a very professional service from start to finish at this clinic. I was seen by Neel Sethi who did a thorough check and explained the filling treatment that I needed. He was very gentle and I did not feel any discomfort or pain during the whole process. He even showed me before and after photos, which I had not experienced at any other clinic. Amazing service. The staff I have met are all super friendly.I could not have asked for a better experience. Tayla at the desk was really welcoming, and during the actual appointment Andrea and Corinne gave me the best treatment.
