Dermal fillers are a non-surgical facial aesthetic treatment that can leave the skin looking plumper, firmer, tauter, and overall, much younger looking than before. Using an injectable form of hyaluronic acid, dermal fillers can be used on varying areas of the face and neck, adding volume and elasticity in areas that might otherwise be lacking. It can be used as an anti-ageing treatment, as well as for creating a more defined, head-turning look on the cheeks and lips.
What is hyaluronic acid?
Dermal fillers use hyaluronic acid which is a naturally occurring substance in the skin. Unfortunately, the skin stops making it as effectively as we age, which can leave the skin looking saggy, crepey, and lacklustre. The substance is a popular ingredient in skincare products such as serums and moisturisers but is much more effective when applied directly into the skin.

This injectable treatment should not cause any pain as weāll apply a numbing agent beforehand. You might have some slight bruising and sensitivity in the area afterwards, but this usually goes away very quickly.
Dermal filler treatments usually last just 30 minutes in the chair, although we will have a consultation where we discuss which areas you wish to focus on and treat beforehand.
The effects of your dermal fillers should last for up to six months although this does vary among patients.
Results from dermal fillers are sometimes noticeable before you even leave the practice, but in most cases can be seen within a few days.
