All-On-Four/All-On-Six Same Day Teeth provide patients missing up to a whole arch of teeth with a more stable alternative to traditional dentures. Implanted into the jaw during the same appointment, this treatment inserts four or six implants into the jaw which then provide the stable and secure basis for a whole arch of prosthetic teeth. Fast and effective, All-On-Four/All-On-Six Same Day Teeth provide patients with the most natural-looking and natural-feeling restoration option when replacing multiple teeth at once.
We’ll first make sure you’re a suitable candidate for this treatment at a consultation with our implant team, during which we may take an X-ray or CT scan to make sure there is enough healthy bone present to accept the implants. Thanks to our OPG machine, we’ll be able to X-ray the entire mouth without having to use uncomfortable bitewings, making sure you’re comfortable from the beginning stages. Once your eligibility has been established, you’ll come back into the practice to have your implants inserted.
This will be done under local anaesthetic so you’re comfortable throughout, and you won’t feel a thing. We’ll then insert all four, or all six of the implants before applying temporary prosthetic teeth on top of them. Your personalised prosthetic teeth will be applied sometime later, once we’re sure the implants have successfully fused with the jawbone.
This treatment is most suitable for patients missing multiple teeth or for patients with dentures looking for a more stable alternative. While dentures have their place, implants can help create a much healthier and happier smile. They can help support the other structures of the face, increasing and maintaining bone density, as well as looking more natural in appearance. They can also increase the ease with which you eat – so biting into apples, or ordering a steak is on the menu once again.
The treatment will be carried out under local anaesthetic so you won’t feel a thing in the area being treated. Once the implants have been applied you should in fact, find them comfortable and stable – much more so than traditional dentures. You might experience some soreness immediately after having the treatment, but painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen should be able to treat this.
